A couple of days ago I got asked what you thought this new crop of Microgreens that we’ll be producing was. And most people thought it was an herb 🌿, however this amazing plant is a legume called or lupinus a fantastic source of

Here are few more fun facts about it:
1) Lupin microgreens are a saving superfood; they are packed with Lutein and Zeaxanthin, powerful that travel directly to your eyes 👀 to protect against blue light and aging.
2) Unlike peas protein, which only hits ~82% digestibility and cause heavy bloating, Lupin boasts a massive 96% digestibility rate, meaning your body absorbs the protein cleanly without leaving leftovers in the gut to cause gas.
3) Sprouting Lupin as a microgreen unlocks a massive 90% increase in bioavailable making them a true-plant based powerhouse!

Here are a few facts about this delicious and beautiful plant 🌱 that might help you out:

Just wanted to share what is happening in the farm… we are currently upgrading our irrigation system so it’s automated.. the last six months have been a struggle I’m not going to sugarcoat it, it’s the beauty of being a and however there is nothing more gratifying than seeing your hard work come to life.
We take a lot of pride in every process we take to make the best Microgreens we can hope to deliver to you our amazing .

One of the great initiatives and collaborations we have this new year #2026 is the partnership we have built with heading the kitchen

The birth of Forest City Microgreens by Cristina and Jaime Ramirez (who have decided to come out of retirement) came as an inspiration from their grandchildren and their interest in seeing them growing up eating organic, locally grown produce that provided ultimate nutrition, along with being fun to eat. Originating from Colombia they have lived in Canada for over 30 years, and were accustomed to buying their food from farmer’s markets with products that were not treated or modified and full of nourishment. With the help of their son, they have a passion for bringing back greens to the young and old that are easy to blend with your typical salads, smoothies, or on your favourite entrees. They put all their love into every tray of microgreens that they grow, as they hope to make a small impact in the lives of children and their families in London and the surrounding area.
