Started messing around with my custom knee ascender 2.0. My previous hand stitched model worked well for about 5 years. I wanted a more rigid leg bracing system to prevent sagging.

The large stem was recently limbed just after a wildfire had torn through and just about levelled the cottage. The smaller stem behind it leaned heavy towards the power lines behind it. Managed to get them both down, bucked, and skidded off the driveway with no harm done to the nearby trees. To say that climbing this 7” thick charred bark was challenging would be an understatement!
