Me at age 7. Still repping Lombardo Painting!
My father sponsored my team. Not him pictured here, but later would take on a more active role as coach and, like most things he does, became very successful at it. He pushed me to be good at the sport and learn about teamwork. I loved traveling far and wide for competitions, out of province and country. Winning became quite the dopamine rush and losing only increased motivation.
Customers may not realize how long I've been a part of this company or how I've been coached by such a talented, hard-working father. 🙌 A severe car accident was the only thing that could stop him from continuing this field of work. But as one door closes, a window opens. He owns and built one of the largest antique stores in Ontario now, Clappison's Corners Antiques in Hamilton. Check it out if in the area! It was featured in the first episode of Canada's storage wars and many other popular shows rent props from him.
I converted Lombardo Painting and Decorating into Lombardo Painting and Renovating 15 years ago. I've got big shoes to fill but hoping to follow in his footsteps and head towards new destinations.
