Coffee and Banana Smoothie
Ingredients
1 ripe banana (frozen for a creamier texture)
1/2 cup brewed coffee (cooled)
1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant based, such as almond or oat milk)
1/4 cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
1 2 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
Ice cubes (optional, for a colder smoothie)
Optional Add Ins:
1 tbsp peanut butter or almond butter
1 scoop protein powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Blend the ingredients:
In a blender, combine the banana, cooled coffee, milk, Greek yogurt, honey (if using), and cinnamon. Add ice cubes if desired for a frosty texture.
2. Blend until smooth:
Blend on high until the mixture is creamy and smooth. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash of milk or coffee to adjust the consistency.
3. Serve:
Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a few coffee beans if desired.
Tips:
Use decaf coffee for a caffeine free version.
For an extra creamy smoothie, use frozen banana slices and omit the ice cubes.
