Evocative Spaces

Evocative Spaces An exhibition of student work that showcases student talent beyond what we bring to our classes, yet Hello friends and fellow archies! example “ ‘Untitled’ 2009.

Martina and I would like to introduce you to our little project, which we are very proud of and excited for, an exhibition called Evocative Spaces. It will be held in the exhibition room on the first floor of Macdonald Harrington October 3rd-19th. This is just our idea, but it will be YOUR work! This is an exhibition of work by YOU. We’re looking for high-quality images that relate to our theme of

Evocative Spaces, A Collective Student Image: a theme we believe relates to our shared love of architecture -- the theories and/or themes that define architecture -- but which goes beyond our studios. This exhibition will showcase student talent beyond what we bring to our classes, yet which are talents that can enhance our understanding of space, place, and architecture. This exhibition will allow students to gain awareness and appreciation of their classmates outside of the studio environment and to experience other points of view, both in visual and theoretical realms. Well-roundedness of our education comes from involving ourselves outside of the classroom. We hope that all individuals involved with the school; students, faculty, and more; can gain from this experience. Thank you all for reading and we look forward to your submissions! Please direct any questions to:

b. Rachel Grady or Martina Amato in the U3 studios (there’s one of us in each so you can’t go wrong!)
