We are heading into a cold weekend!
Generally speaking, minisplits are engineered to operate efficiently down to -15°, although this varies. For example, many of our Fujitsu units are rated down to -26°. We are expecting to see temperatures dip below this over the weekend. Things to consider if you typically rely on a mini-split as your heating source:
❄️ Your unit is going to be working harder than usual which may result in reduced output and efficiency.
❄️Your back up heating system may need to kick in during a cold snap such as this.
❄️Make sure your indoor air filters are clean and outdoor units stay clear of snow and ice to provide the best operating environment possible.
