From The Corner of The Shack: have you ever paid handmade prices for something that wasn't? 😤
It happens at markets more than it should: items bought in bulk from overseas sellers, set up on a table and sold as "handmade". It stings for the buyer, and it stings even more for the makers whose real work gets judged by the same standard.
We wrote a buyer's guide on spotting genuine handmade crochet and quality 3D prints, from the looped texture of real stitches to red flags like a vendor announcing "no refunds" before you've even paid. If a seller can't tell you who made the piece, where, and how, that's worth pausing over.
Our own standard is simple: everything we sell is made right here in our Newcastle shop, crafting smiles since 2023. Crochet stitched by hand, creatures printed in-house, and if something isn't right, we make it right.
