Now that Goose egg season is done, our incubator got a good cleaning! It's time for Ducklings!!! Our last few Mandarin eggs are in the incubator, along with two trays of Cayuga eggs, and one tray of Pekin eggs. We're leaving a few spaces empty, just incase something interesting comes along 🙂

And then there were three! We've been so busy, we forgot to announce our third Mandarin Duckling hatched 😍 All three are eating, and drinking, great! And swimming in their waterdish too 😅

Gizmo (one of our Mandarin Drakes) has lost both of his Sail Feathers, as he begins to molt out of his Mating Plumage. It's rare we find them in such good condition! Usually we find them in their pool, wet and mangled.

Fresh Lilac Blooms are dehydrating. Not sure what i'm going to use them for yet, but I'll make the most of the short blooming period to preserve them for later in the season.
