So here it is. I own a construction company. We started in 2012. I started it with 1 year of university under my belt. I was going to be a business major and decided to drop out instead and become a wicked awesome carpenter. The wicked awesome carpenter part is going well. Sometimes the business side not so great. Not to say that my business isn’t doing well cause we are. But when you are on the tools 10-12 hours a day, then quoting jobs, invoicing and trying to find balance with your family life sometimes paperwork gets left behind. So basically I was too proud to hire a book keeper and then tax time becomes insane lol. So with the guidance of a good friend o have incorporated, hired a book keeper, outsourced payroll and made my life 1 million times easier. Smartest thing I’ve done in a long time and can’t wait to continue to grow, run my business more efficiently and continue to learn. It’s not hard to ask for help when needed and as a small business owner remember you can’t do it all.
