In June, we added three additions to the Douglas family home. The jut out on left is the new 15'x16' mater bedroom. The rear center Jut out is the new 20'x10' kitchen addition. We also tore off the existing front porch and framed up a larger covered porch. I returned in October to build the rear deck and dress the front concrete porch with cedar decking.

We tore the roof off an existing house in Cobourg and then framed a 2 bedroom, 1 bath room loft with sitting area. It has two large dormers with eight foot ceilings and two vaulted rooms. The entire roof was hand cut and a nice change from the trusses we use most often.

1600 Sq. ft. addition.

We started in late fall framing and sheeting the new section of floor and building the detached garage. The home owners stayed in the existing home for Christmas. Once they were out we began by tearing down the roof and walls. We then tied the old and new floors together and trued them up with a couple of days of shimming and posting. We then framed the new walls and roof, wrapped the house and installed the windows.
