Beat the Heat | Tip #9: Cook Outside When You Can ☀️🍔

Your water heater has plenty of ways to let you know when it’s had enough. 🚿🫷🏻

Here are five signs it may be time to start thinking about a replacement:

1️⃣ Lack of hot water
Running out of hot water faster than usual, or never getting enough in the first place? Your water heater may be struggling to keep up.

2️⃣ Higher utility bills
Not using more hot water but noticing your bills creeping up? An aging or inefficient water heater may be working harder than it should.

3️⃣ Discoloured, rusty, or smelly water
If your hot water is looking rusty, discoloured, or smelling a little funky, it could be a sign of corrosion or sediment buildup inside the tank.

4️⃣ Strange noises
Banging, popping, rumbling or other unusual sounds coming from your water heater can indicate sediment buildup or other issues that shouldn’t be ignored.

5️⃣ Leaks
Water pooling around your tank is never a good sign. Even a small leak can point to a bigger problem — and it’s worth getting checked out before it becomes a much bigger mess.
