Annnnddddd.... We're back!

Tree Wise Guys Inc. is back in action after a hard, snowy Winter. Let me tell you... We are eager, excited and ready to get back to what we love. And that doesn't just mean climbing trees. Anybody else feeling a touch of Spring Fever?

We sure are here at Tree Wise Guys Inc.! This year we're going into Spring with our best foot forward, and some new services to consider.

Forest-Fire Mitigation, Oak-Wilt Preparation & Lightning Protection Systems are the most exciting additions to our roster. Full tree removal is not always the only solution, ask us how we can help preserve the trees on your property!

With many cottages still closed for the season, it may be a good time to have us give you a free property diagnostic to check-in on the health of your trees. Tree Wise Guys Inc. is hiring for our 2026 season! Come join us to spend your Summer gaining experience as an arborist in beautiful Parry Sound/Muskoka, Ontario 🌳🇨🇦

Spring is just around the corner again, and we have one grounds-person & one climbing position available. The Indeed links below give a more detailed description of what to expect, but here are the basics...

- 9 month season between March 30th - mid December
- $20 - $25/h for grounds-person, $23 - $30 for climbing position (we would consider a lead climber or junior arborist, which is why the wage gap is large here)
- Accommodations available (Very affordable!)
- A long list of incentives to design a package that makes sense for you, including gear allowance, health care allowance, profit share program, and advancement training
- The opportunity to get one-on-one training, and the chance to be a part of a rapidly growing small business in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

It's not like us to be away from social media for so long, but what a busy year it's been for Tree Wise Guys Inc.!

As our business continues to grow, we've faced so many new & exciting challenges that we've had the pleasure of overcoming. Not to mention a few new faces on our team! Its been a year of many firsts...

We had the pleasure of taking on our young apprentice from abroad Tommy Walker, hailing from North Cumbria in the UK. What a stellar climber, hard worker and great kid in general. It was an absolute pleasure to have you join us for the season! Beyond that, we installed our first lightning-protection system on a huge Pine tree in Georgian Bay to spare it from removal (check out the video on our website!). We purchased our first proper chipper truck, tackled removing one of the largest trees in Parry Sound & planted a new Oak in it's place, and even put our skid-steer/chipper on a barge to access an island on Trout Lake.

TreeWiseGuys is in search of a Groundsperson to complete our 2025 season!

The full job description is available through the Indeed link attached below, but here are the basics. We are searching for a suitable candidate to join our team as a groundsman/woman.

- Wages between $20 - $25/h based on relevant trade experience, education and other valuable assets (training, certifications, driver's license, etc.)
- Starting immediately, 4 day work weeks (10h shifts) with weekend work always available
- Candidate will be expected to move brush, logs and woody materials, operate a chainsaw & wood-chipper, clean job-site & learn arborist specific trade skills such as tying knots, running ropes & rigging, felling trees & operate heavy equipment. Training to be provided if necessary!

We are very excited about our new F-550 with an all aluminum Eloquip chipper body. Not to mention the great decal work done by Aqua Graphics here in Parry Sound!

The storm clean-up continues...

While we are sympathetic towards all the people that suffered damages from this ice storm, it is a great feeling knowing that we are one of the outfits trained and equipped to help tidy up this mess. Our aim is restore your property to it's previous condition, and make you aware of any damaged or compromised trees on your property. Some tips for those who have significant damages...

- Make sure to look up! So many trees have large, broken & hanging branches or limbs that are still attached to the tree and liable to fall.

- Just because a tree has buds or leafs, does not always mean it's trustworthy. A tree's canopy can tell you a lot about it's health, but the trunk and roots require a thorough inspection after a weather event like what we just saw. Any splitting, loss of bark or fungus should not be taken lightly.

- Ask a professional in your area to assess the property! Even if you're comfortable tackling the clean-up yourselves, now is the time to take advantage of a free appraisal to ensure that your trees are safe.

If you are a cottager who has yet to see your property yet, please don't be afraid to ask us to have a look for you. We would hate for anyone to walk into any unexpected surprises! If this applies to you, we can be reached at...

What a wild storm! I haven't seen so much freezing rain in a good long while. If there is anyone that is trying to reach out with broken or damaged trees, please send me a message here or send an email instead of calling! There must be something going on with our local cell tower here in Seguin, as my phone calls and texts have been acting up today. I apologize to anyone who has tried to reach out to us via phone call with no response, and I hope this message reaches you!

Tree Wise Guys Inc. is officially booking up our Spring season for 2025!

Despite the dumping we got last night, it is looking like things will be warming up over the next couple of weeks and our Spring dates are filling up! If you have a worrisome tree and would like some professional advice, we are here to help :)

For those of you with seasonal properties, it might be worth while to have us do a free property diagnostic for your home away from home. We can assess the health of the trees on your property, let you know if there have been any failures and help prioritize tasks based on threats to health & safety.

For those who were unaware, TreeWiseGuys is still cutting through the Winter!

Those who are familiar with us know that previously we would shut down through the Winter months, but as we continue to grow so has our working season. Our employees are eager to stay busy (one of those 'good problems') and are well-equipped to work in harsh weather conditions. I guess you could say, we're 'eager beavers' 🦫🌳

So don't hesitate to call! With the high winds we've been having, it might be worth having us do a Winter check-up on your vacation property. We're prepared to hike through some snow if you're driveway is not maintained, and all of our appraisals are free!
