THE PROCESS
Share your vision with us, we collaborate with you to design your ladder. When you approve your ladder design we handcraft your ladder in our Perth Ontario workshop.

MUSKOKA LOFT LADDER
Our client lives in Muskoka and sent us an inspiration picture showing us what his ladder should look like. We discussed how he would use his ladder and together we came up with a design. Once he approved the design we handcrafted the first Muskoka ladder in our workshop!

DETAILS
This is the original Muskoka ladder inspired by our client's vision. The wood is a soft maple with beautiful brown colouring from the Ambrosia beetle, often incorrectly called wormy maple. The ladder has a varnish finish and features two custom 8' steel handrails powder coated and extending 2' above the ladder. The hardware allows the ladder to be stored vertically against the loft and the non skid feet protect your floors while providing and excellent grip.

The price of an unfinished Muskoka ladder is $1995, HST and handrails are not included. FOB our workshop in Perth Ontario. Ask us about delivery.

We’ve Moved !

Custom Ladder Company is now located in Perth Ontario, 85 km southwest of Ottawa and 300km northeast of Toronto.

We started our company in a garage in Calgary and moved to larger workshops as we increased the number of ladders we built while serving our growing number of clients.

Our clients live across Canada, with the majority of our clients being located in the GTA area. Ladders are costly to ship due to their length, so it made sense for us to move our workshop to be closer to our largest number of clients.

Come and visit us in our new workshop, we can help you design your ladder as we show you the different wood types, hardware choices and finish types.

More about Perth

Perth was named for a town and river in Scotland and became a frontier home for Scottish and Irish settlers who journeyed across the Atlantic Ocean more than 200 years ago.The Perth settlement, in Lanark County, began in 1815: in that year the "Perth Military Settlement" began. By 1816 Perth was an established military settlement because of the war of 1812. Many of the first settlers were from France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Scotland or Ireland who were offered land in return for their military service. The military regime lasted until 1824, when settlers were granted municipal rights of self government. Perth is also the site of the last fatal duel in Upper Canada. Robert Lyon, a law student, was killed on June 13, 1833, after fighting over a woman (Elizabeth Hughes) with a former friend, John Wilson.
