Country Cupboard Red Deer's Best Kept Secret! Locally owned and operated since 1985. In October, Country Cupboard reopened back in the original location downtown.

Located in the beautiful downtown of Red Deer, Country Cupboard showcases a treasure trove full of unique items. Be prepared to spend some time enjoying the homey feel and browsing the wide variety of items in store. Country Cupboard was founded in Red Deer and operated downtown at the same location since 1985, until a fire in June of 2021. In October of the same year, they set up a temporary spot

in Bower Place, until the end of January 2022. Don and Cathy Edwards purchased the store in 2009. Their youngest daughter, Michelle, is currently in the process of taking over the business.

Our Story

Country Cupboard was founded in Red Deer and has been operating at the same location since 1985. The shop uses two floors of a building that was constructed in 1947. The uniqueness of the historical building adds to the feel of an old country store. The current owners, Don and Cathy Edwards, took over the store in 2009. In 2012, an expansion was added on the main floor when the Quilt Shop moved locations. Located in the beautiful downtown of Red Deer, Country Cupboard showcases over 3000 square feet full of unique items. Don't be fooled by how small it looks on the outside! Be prepared to spend some time enjoying the homey feel and browsing the wide variety of items we have. Check out our year-round Christmas Room!
