Hello everyone, welcome to my page Clem & Simms Woodworks. For those of you who know me, well you know me as Simms. Over the years i have gained a lot of skills doing pretty much everything myself. Tools were always an interest early on, stock piling everything from compressors to a miter saw heading into home ownership for the first time. Then there came this passion and skill for wood working. I remember way back when i was a young boy travelling up north to a small town called Prince Albert, Sk, and that is where my grandfather “Clem” lived. He was a great man, and in his time was an amazing carpenter. I remember sneaking into his garage to look at all his tools. The shop and floors were filled with saw dust, i remember loving that smell. My grandpa made everything from dressers, to shelving units, beds, bunk beds, toy boxes, board games, chairs, picture frames, and his probably most amazing piece was his signature hand crafted grandfather clocks!! Oh and i must say he also built his house by himself and is the same house that my mom lives in today! 35 odd years later i still have some of his true craftsmanship in my home today. My toy box he built for me as a kid, and a few dressers! That is where the name “Clem & Simms” became, i wanted something to honour my late grandpa, i wanted to honour him in a way because i feel that he has passed along to me some of his woodworking genes and passion for woodworking and helping people! I believe that is where my true love for this came from, and i wanted to thank him for that! Over the years i have built decks, fences, developed my basement, and have built many outdoor related projects which have grown in demand and has kept me very busy in my spare time. Feel free to follow me in my progress to building more great projects, and if there’s anything you see and like, don’t hesitate to send me a message and see what i can do for you! Thanks
Ryan
