Poplars grow fast, but they can also become brittle and unpredictable as they age. When that happens, removal is often the safest choice for the property and the people around it.

Our crew made quick work of this one and left the site clean when the job was done.

The cambium is one of the most important parts of a tree, even though it’s only a thin layer under the bark. This living layer produces new wood growth and helps move nutrients through out the tree.

Fun fact of the day.
Do you know why oak trees are so amazing?

Its because they can lay dormant in the underbrush for up to 20yrs waiting for a disturbance in the surrounding canopy to shoot up.
This is called advanced regeneration and how oak trees establish such a strong tap root.
When an acorn splits and starts to sprout they will put their energy downward instead of trying to grow tall. Very commonly you will see an oak sprout that is 1-3" tall but has a 3' + tap root underground!
Very often we hear from clients that their wild oak tree is growing crazy fast since they've noticed it. Thats because its been planning its emergence for a while, just waiting for the right opportunity.
The saying "as strong as an oak" is a saying for a reason. Nature is amazing and oaks are an iconic part of it.
