What day of the week is it again?

We’ve been taking full advantage of the drier weather lately, working our way through some of the backlog Mother Nature left us after all that rain.

Today brought something a little outside the norm for Prairie Acre.

We spent the day on the north side of Edmonton planting trees, and it was a great change of pace.

Busy days, good weather, great customers, and work we enjoy doing.

A big shout out to the team at The Black Dirt Company

We drive past your yard multiple times a week heading to and from Deep Blue Athletics, and one thing we’ve noticed is the effort you put into keeping the roads around your business clean. For a company that moves dirt every day, that doesn’t happen by accident.

It takes time and pride to keep your entrance and the surrounding roads tidy, and as fellow earthworkers, we know that effort often goes unnoticed. As regular patrons of those roads, we definitely appreciate it.

Doing some drainage work for a customer who is ready to put their basement back together.

Before finishing the inside, we’re correcting the grading outside to help direct water away from the foundation.

Proper drainage should always be addressed first to help prevent the same problem from happening again.

If you’re married to a blue-collar man, you’ll understand this…

It’s Ryan’s birthday today, and the thing he was most excited about was getting a load of gravel dropped off at home and having me come run the packer for him this morning.

We truly are blessed, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Happy Birthday to the hardest-working guy I know.
