About Brian Hilstad

My name is Joshua and I’m Brian’s son, I have the privilege of writing my Dad’s bio. What a task! The start of my dad’s construction expertise started in roofing. He began in Calgary with roofing and general construction. He then met my mother who lived in White Rock, and after marrying settled there. The ten formative years that I remember of my childhood were spent in Costa Rica. Brian and my wonderful mother Hope moved our family to Central America in 2004 when I was 7 and my sister was 10. We were able to serve in many ways, and one of the best memories I have is of the houses my dad built for the families that could not afford tomorrows meal. It really was incredible to witness my parents obedience to God and strength in service. I experienced more than I could ever recount. I cherish the memories of my dad patiently passing on his skills in construction, from tiling to framing, plumbing to electrical work. He is a true handyman, and now I can provide those skills to my family. Fast forward to today, time really does fly by! My dad acquires new skills daily, he is always learning! He has built houses in three countries, obtained 20+ years of experience, and has become an expert in the services he provides.
