Itβs important to know the top 5 buyer turn-offs. These 5 things if corrected can help you sell your house factor and at the best possible price. . .and there simple and fast to complete.
1) Poor Curb Appeal - don't let potential buyers drive right by your home, due to poor curb appeal. Peeling paint, bold or unmatched colours on doors and trim , and fading colours can turn off buyers.
2) The 15 Second Rule - Impressions are made in the first 15 seconds! What do you see in 15 seconds when you walk into your home? If it's scuff marks on doors or trim, or walls and ceilings that need fresh paint, call me.
3) Dirty Laundry - No one wants to purchase a product that looks dirty, so clean all surfaces. But if cleaning isn't enough and scuffs, scrapes or stains remain, call me for a fresh coat of paint to cover them up and freshen up your home.
4) Bold is not Beautiful - Although you may love your hot pink ensuite, buyers may be dazed or stunned by the bold colour and not see the true potential of the room, Neutral colours appeal to new buyers and lighter colours help rooms look larger.
5) Damaged Product - The only reason people buy a damaged product is for a deal, so don't sell a damaged home, fix it and get full value. Call me to fix and paint damaged drywall areas (cracks, holes, etc.) or any area showing signs of water damage.
Follow these rules and your home will sell faster then competing homes in your neighborhood.
