Happy New Year, everyone!

2025 was a trying year for myself but there were still some high points like this fun little kitchen glow up and custom kitchen island I did. (Swipe for after photos and my original drawing for the custom island.) The counter tops and sink were replaced, as well as the light futures over the island. The under cabinet lighting wasn’t working so we got that juiced back up and installed some beautiful new appliances. It’s amazing what a few tweaks and a nice new custom island can do to a space! 😎.

Here’s to some more fun custom work like this and a better 2026 for everybody!

Finished my last big commission of the year just in time for the holidays. I’ve had this design for a Moroccan style coffee table in my head for more than a year and to see it finally come to fruition is pretty cool and a nice way to end my first full year in business! It has a removable walnut top finished with furniture butter, and a willow base finished with oil plus 2C “super white”. Here’s to many of these projects in the new year.

My wife and I just spent the last two weeks celebrating our one year anniversary/belated honeymoon in Portugal. We had an unbelievable dreamy time and it was a good reminder of how important it is to get away from your job and enjoy the fruits of your labour. We work to live, we don’t live to work, after all.

That being said, my batteries are recharged and I have some really fun projects in the pipeline that I’m excited to share!
