Laying the foundation for comfort! Basement ductwork installation in our latest new build project!

Just wrapped up another basement dust job in Scarborough. The boys tried to keep everything as tight as possible to the walls and as much duct in the joist spaces as possible. Doing this, we were able to avoid excessive boxes. If you want clean work done in a speedy manner, call us!

Just finished up this renovation. The crew and I got it finished in 1 day. Complete tear down of the old ductwork, and an installation of the new. The duct needed to be upsized to compensate for low wall supply runs that were going to added to each room in this basement apartment. (As per engineer specs.) Additionally, the homeowner opted to use the currently installed AC, so the plenum remained unchaged. We only swapped out the PTOs in order to install the larger duct.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! 🦃🍁

Jeez its been a while, but I promise you that this job was done a while ago! This is part 2 of my last post. The basement is now complete but you might have noticed there are no volume dampers in the duct lines coming off the furnace. Each duct line coming off the furnace is going to be complete with a motorized damper to make this house a complete zoned system. The duct line in the second picture supplies air directly to the second floor. Additionally, the two duct lines coming off the wye branch (pair of pants) in the third picture supplies air to the basement and ground floor.

Another attic job! 😅👍🏻

It's always fun walking on trusses all day. (I hope you got my sarcasm.) This was a decent size house, about 4000sqft. It was a single furnace job with zone dampers. The second floor/attic turned out pretty well. Only good thing about atic jobs is that you can pipe straight to the boot. No bulkheads to worry about. 😌 Part 2 coming soon! Stay tuned for the basement.

I also wanted to address that all duct in the attic will be insulated, due to the attic being an unconditioned space. The duct will be spray-foamed when the garage/rest of the house gets done.

Out goes the Baseboard Heaters, in comes the Forced Air👍🏻

Just another reno project. This 60 year old 1500sqft bungalow was fully gutted and with that, out went the baseboard heaters. Other than all the dust coming out the joists, this job was a breeze. Really nice and straight farward. These case coils are getting really popular. I've been installing many as of late. Anyone know the benefit compared to a standard A coil?

Another Basement! 🤯

This was a decent size house we did a while ago. About 4200sqft bungalow with a small loft on the second floor. As seen on the plan, in the last picture, there were only a few heat runs going up to the second floor and 2 of them were for the skylight. Due to the small second floor there weren't as many runs as expected for this size house. The customer opted for a case coil and an upgraded filter which is shown in the first picture.

Condo Action! 😅🏗️🏢

Got a call to hang some ductwork in a condo building. Definitely much easier than a house, in the suites at least. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I'm sure the sheet metal in the common area is a whole different ball game. I was lucky to snap some pictures before the drywall went up. Usually after the duct is up the units are framed and drywalled within 2 weeks!
