Kate has been working as a bookbinder in Toronto for nearly 30 years. Over the years, Kate has completed hundreds of projects for institutions, libraries and book lovers. While Kate loves all aspects of book and box making, her main area of specialization is in the care and restoration of old books. After completing a Bachelor's degree in English and Art History, and a Master's degree in Child Stu

dies, Kate worked for several years with young children all the while pursuing her life-long interest in drawing and sculpture at OCAD. In 1985, Kate began an apprenticeship with Don Taylor and has been pursing her craft ever since.
