Toronton Suomi-koulu - Toronto Finnish School The oldest Finnish language school outside of Finland, promoting and teaching Finnish language skills, culture and heritage. Tervetuloa Suomi-kouluun!

The Toronto Finnish Language School is the oldest Finnish language school outside of Finland, promoting and teaching Finnish language skills, culture and heritage. We also offer a friendly and active community for the local Finnish-Canadian families. Classes for 4-18-year-old children are offered every other Friday between 6 pm and 8 pm at the Agricola Church (25 Old York Mills Road). We also offe

r virtual classes. Saturday Clubs are organized monthly from 10 am - 1 pm and packed with fun activities. We enjoy hobbies like sewing, painting, arts & crafts, theatre club, playing kantele, singing, and playing. A "muskari" playgroup is a new activity for babies, toddlers and their parents. We also organize excursions and special events to celebrate Finnish traditions and to learn and spend time together. We have a well-stocked school library and a school shop selling Finnish delicacies. They are open during school hours. Only 2 more days… 🥳

We look forward to celebrating the Toronto Finnish School’s anniversary with you this Saturday. As you prepare for the party, we wanted to send a few helpful hints to you.

—-Doors will open at 3:30 and appetizers and bar will be open for service. The program will begin at 4:15 and conclude around 7:30 - but music and dancing continue!

—-The Latvian Centre is located at 4 Credit Union Dr, North York and parking is available. (Please consider driving with friends.)

—-Coffee, water and juice are complimentary. A cash bar will be open for other beverage choices such as wine, beer, and more.

—-Seating is 10 people per table. We invite you to sit with friends and strangers-who-will-become-friends! We look forward to welcoming almost 200 guests of all generations!

—-A silent auction and raffle will have wonderful prizes including Fazer, Marimekko, Muumin, TFC, and more!

—-The School Shop will be open for shopping for your favourite Finnish treats. (Cash, credit card, and e-transfer accepted.)
