Enjoyed dropping by this Land Effects designed project this week and catching up with our happy clients . They had considered a hot tub but ultimately went for a small Swim Spa and were thrilled they did. Apparently they use it everyday year round ..and operate as a hot tub Fall to Spring and then as a pool through the summer so they get the best of both worlds ! They're wish list was quite extensive for a small space but we managed to make it all flow seamlessly with plenty of upper deck Dining and seating as well as a lower level Gas Firetable sheltered by the new Summerwood Outdoor Studio that operates as a woodshop with future plans to be a second office space. We had a great time designing this Lawrence park home with a fantastic young family who planned on settling into this new build and balanced a pool with lots of entertaining deck and patio space as well as turf for the young members of the family to play on. A sculptural screen was incorporated to hide the pool equipment at the rear of the lot . The laser screens were then repeated again for privacy screens as well as a backdrop to the outdoor shower feature. Custom screens also accentuate the back wall of the pool with backlighting. Spend a few days down in the Niagara Falls region and was impressed with the wonderful plantings and greenhouses at the Niagara Parks Floral Showcase near the power generating station at the south end of the falls. Climbing hydrangea , climbing cotoneaster , Magnolias with lush japanese spurge ground cover along with ornamental grasses in abundance truly made the site come to life. Highly recommended - The interior greenhouses are also spectacular ! Just had to post some beautiful landscape plantings at the Niagara Parks Floral showcase facility this past weekend. Spectacular Climbing Hydrangea and cotoneaster on the stone walls , Japanese spurge ground cover under an Alley of Magnolias , and lots of tropicals for interest and texture. They also have stunning interior greenhouses to walk through too.

Beautiful evening for a fire at a family get together. Had tons of small brush to get it started. Died down quickly but wow talk about Holy Sh*t !
