We got the seedlings planted! A little later then I normally would but the last two years I lost all my seedlings due to cold snaps or wind storms! So here’s hoping this year will be different! I also used seed snails to grow the seedlings this year and it gave them a stronger head start! Happy gardening friends!

Sweet little baby robins! I was trimming some branches and heard the mama loosing it. So when I found the nest I put my phone over so I could get a quick little peak!

The onions, garlic and potatoes I planted a couple weeks ago are thriving!! I can’t wait to start planting but I won’t make the same mistake as last year and plant too early!! This spring has been very unpredictable!

The seed snail method is a space-saving way to start seedlings using a strip of plastic and soil rolled up like a snail shell. You lay a strip of plastic or laminate, spread a thin layer of potting soil, sprinkle seeds along the top edge, then roll it tightly from one end. Stand the “snail” upright in a shallow tray of water so the soil wicks moisture from the bottom. It keeps seeds organized, uses minimal soil, makes transplanting easy, and lets you fit dozens of seedlings in a small space on a windowsill.
