You know you have found something when Google can't find another.
A bushel and half bushel metal dry-good measure, by McClary Manufacturing Company established in 1847 in London, Ontario.
A peck and half peck metal dry-good measure by the Thomas Davidson Manufacturing Company Limited in Montréal founded in 1854 in Montreal, Quebec.

They are in fantastic shape!

Two board table top, 36" x 48"; meaning each board is over 18" wide and likely dates the top from the late 1880's, but

The sawed off legs and skirt are likely hippy, early 1970's but still with squared nails!?!?!

Nonetheless, I have glued and screwed the structure to make it good for the next 100 years while not touching the original patina.

My patron has a carved Polynesian mask from a palm tree. Needs an appropriate mount.
The native birch matches in pallete and the sub exterior fibers complement the movement of the mask.
The base came from a collection of centurian barn timber frame joints.
It's a sexy piece to complement any room and make the air....crackle.

This is a silk kerchief box from the late 1800's from the textile manufacturer. This is how they were shipped to the retailer.

I was asked to repair and secure the hinges with period appropriate hardware.

So work has been done, but for a customer. Bravo indeed!

Very very pretty spindle back kitchen chairs C. 1910-15 with original paint, had gotten a little loose with age (we all know the feeling).

I have probably reglued 100's of chairs over the years and have my own ways of getting it done. A man can never have too much rope.

This stately walnut dresser dates from the late 1800's based on the Knapp joinery. 39" x 18 1/2" x 35" high.

The piece has been reglued and oiled to restore the wood, though I'd like to finish it to keep it functional. I will try some french polishing on similar pieces first. I'd like to bring out the depth of the wood without making it super shiny, or cheapening the patina of almost 150 years.

What struck me about this piece is how solid it is. The interior pics do not do it justice. It is very clean, well built with 3/4" wood all around and that lovely effervescent finish
