A Final Note of Thanks from Dave
Dear friends,
As we officially close our doors today, I wanted to share a final note of thanks. The last five years have brought many challenges, but also many rewards. We were proud to create good-paying jobs in the community where we were born and raised, and to make a significant investment in a place that means so much to us. While we had hoped the business would become self-sustaining, it wasn’t meant to be. On the bright side, I now look forward to spending more time with my five wonderful grandchildren.
What I will miss most are the people - the loyal customers and the great employees who made this journey meaningful.
For me, this marks the close of another chapter after 51 years with Canadian Tire, from my early days in Bells Corners and Kemptville, to Store Manager and later owner in Elmira (Ontario), Oromocto (New Brunswick), Cole Harbour (Nova Scotia), and finally Kanata (Ontario). It has been a privilege to serve communities across the country, and I am deeply grateful for the support you’ve shown us here in this venture.
Thank you to our customers for believing in us, and to our outstanding team for your dedication and hard work.
