This was my first painting assignment in the art program I'm taking. This parrot went substantially better than the first one I did in July - I'm still not on speaking terms with that one 🤣 . This one is in acrylic. The little abstract bits in the background were fun!

I think I've wiped off more paint on this piece than I left on the canvas but I'm going to say this is finally about 98% done.
There's still some glazing I'd like to do to tone down some of the background, and a bit of highlights here and there before I set it aside to dry before varnishing.

Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm thankful for the little things.
Early morning walks to do chores & finding this little digger left out in the yard by one of the grandbabies. Knowing that no matter the chaos that's going on out in the world, my little family is right here, safe and sound.
I hope you all have those 'little things' to be thankful for - because in reality, I don't think there's anything 'bigger'. 💛💛

Progress on the cobra-chicken aka Canada Goose.
I think I can confidently say that this will be the last bird I try to paint for a while 🤣
