Fix your pe**er problem! 🫣

Woodpe**ers can cause havoc in the Okanagan on all of our homes. Spring time they're laying eggs and raising young so we typically don't touch their homes unless we know the nest is empty and maybe from last year. That makes the end of summer into fall the idea time to fill those holes without worrying about young birds. As much hassle as they cause, we're not into harming them.

However they do have a real passion for ornamental foam details. Build outs, window trims, belly bands and even these smiling sun medalions are all potential nesting sites for these winged wall wallopers.

Solutions? We have lots depending on your home and particular issue. Sometimes it's as simple as moving house so it's not your problem anymore 😅 but in other cases, we can assist.

We are often asked “how concerned should I be about the crack in my stucco?”

✅ Here’s a good general rule:

• If the crack is wide enough to fit the depth of a Toonie within it, get in touch to arrange your free estimate 📋

💰What might a small repair cost me?

• Our minimum repair and call-out charge is $350.00 in 2023, so prices start there. That’s equivalent to your “Test Toonie” and just 174 other Toonies!

Quick facts:

✔️ Conventional stucco is porous to allow it to breathe and dry, however the topcoat is designed to be resistant to light and intermittent water exposure, such as rain. Those pesky sprinklers and any other prolonged water build up are no friends of your stucco!

✔️ Cracks become a problem when they are too large, as they allow water in behind the resistant topcoat! This can weaken the stucco, including the basecoat and eventually damage your water barrier and even the wooden structure!
