A light has gone out in the world with the passing of Dr. Jane Goodall. For me, she was more than an icon; she was the compass. Her life’s work, guided by compassion, curiosity, and an unshakable belief in our interconnectedness, personally inspired me to care for our planet, to study marine biology, and ultimately, to found a Plantish dedicated to eco-friendly solutions.

She was a living testament to the idea that one person’s passion can create waves of change. Dr. Goodall taught us that we must understand and protect the delicate web of life to which we all belong. In her words, “The greatest danger to our future is apathy.”

My journey, from the ocean depths to creating sustainable products, is my small effort to fight that apathy, inspired by her giant example. As we remember her, let’s all recommit to her mission. Let’s find hope in the struggle and never stop working for a better world.

Thank you, Jane, for everything. Your hope now lives on in us.

Did you know that it’s secondhand September? 🍂 While we might be looking for those season outfits for the cooler weather or change around or homes, consider checking out your local thrift shops!

It might be convenient to go into a local store and walk out with something new, there’s a high price to pay for that convenience, both for the planet and your bank account 🥲

Purchasing things second-hand from thrift stores, yard sales, friends, and online marketplaces can help promote recycling and reduce the high levels of overconsumption and eventual waste that accumulates 💚
