We’re deeply honoured to receive a 2025 City of Vancouver Heritage Award for our restoration of a 1913 Kitsilano Craftsman home. 🏡

This project was all about preserving character while building for the future — strengthening the structure, improving energy performance, and keeping the home and neighbourhood’s heart intact.

Thank you to and the Roundhouse volunteers for a wonderful evening celebrating the many forms of heritage in our city. It was a joy to share the night with so many passionate, talented people — congratulations to all! 🥂

European holiday post! ✈️

While visiting the Royal Delft factory in the Netherlands, we learned that their famous Delft Blue pottery isn’t just for vases and plates—they were also an important producer of architectural building ceramics, starting in the late 1800s.

We loved seeing the hand-painting process in action and were especially drawn to a gorgeous tile mural featuring traditional Dutch architecture (a version of Johannes Spohler’s “Old City Hall”). The detail and craftsmanship were incredible.

It’s always inspiring to see how design and architecture come together in different parts of the world—and how something as simple as a tile can tell a story.

We came back inspired by the care and craftsmanship behind it all—something we always aim to bring into our own renovation projects. ✨
