This is one of my favourite photos I took on our trip. We were just leaving the Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi and I saw these two tourists. The light and her pink robe flying in the wind were so beautiful I couldn’t help myself and took this photo. It took me a moment to decide, should I tell them, it’s a bit creepy right? But as my family was getting on the bus and looking back at me wondering what on earth I was doing, I decided to approach them and show them the photo. They were so delighted with it and so grateful! I air dropped it over and they left happy. It was one of those rare travel moments that stands out.

Thought I would dedicate a post to these reminders of the massive network of life beneath our feet — The intricate complexity of the mycelial system, this planet’s communication centre between the giants among us - the trees - and all the invisible critters that support. And as a bridge before my feed takes a decidedly more arid tone for the next couple of weeks 🐪☀️🇦🇪 :)

I don’t think there’s anything as powerful as light when creating a mood that really works its magic. Every moment that’s planted itself forever in my mind is intertwined with the ambience of light and shadow. Think sunsets and candles, or the sun casting ray’s through clouds over the ocean or through a dark forest. As much as I’m seduced by colour, it’s honestly the light that reels me in and moves me to deep gratitude.

Some shots from a recently completed project, only 3 months old and already looking so great. Lawn is still filling in in the backyard and fencing and gate are almost done. The clients have been superstars at keeping the garden watered and staying on top of it to make sure it succeeds!
