Aluminum or Stainless Steel? Here's How to Choose
We get asked this all the time: "Which metal should I use for my project?"
Both are great, but they're good at different things. Here's the breakdown:
Aluminum:
✅ Much lighter (1/3 the weight of stainless steel)
✅ Naturally rust-resistant
✅ Great for anodizing and powder coating
✅ More affordable for large projects
✅ Easier to work with and install
Best for: Building facades, decorative screens, perforated panels, ceiling systems, sunscreens
Think: Anything that covers a lot of area and needs to look good for years without heavy maintenance.
Stainless Steel:
✅ Incredibly strong and durable
✅ That premium polished look
✅ Handles heavy use and stress
✅ Stays shiny with minimal care
Best for: Railings, structural supports, high-end interior features, anything that takes a beating
Think: Anywhere strength matters more than weight, or where you want that mirror-finish luxury look.
Our Take:
For most facade and decorative work, aluminum is your best bet—lighter, more cost-effective, and performs beautifully. We recommend stainless steel when you need serious strength or that specific high-polish aesthetic.
We work with both materials and can help you figure out what makes sense for your project .
