Confession: I’M SO HEARTSICK. School is great and I’m grateful for the things I’m learning and will learn. I’m super grateful I will have my 10 acres paid off by this time next year. I’m grateful for the goals I’ve accomplished.

But I really want my Eggbow. I miss having an abundant garden and daily baskets full of food from my garden. I miss growing cut flowers and making bouquets. I miss my backyard flock and the sweet clucks and quacks I used to hear in my garden. I’m so mad my chickens died last year. It’s hard. It’s been hard but I’m doing it. Looking back when I had my ducks and chickens and flowers and endless food…. Ugh it just brings me pain. I want that all back so bad. The peaceful life of bringing smiles to people by giving them free veggies and flowers. I know after I’m done with school I will have all those things again. I just simply don’t have time to study AND manage a homestead.

The dream seems so far but it doesn’t seem unattainable. God is making moves in my life and everything is slowly falling into place.

Just pouting. Everything is fine. Just a little heartsick and inpatient these days. This season of life is full of deadlines, studying, making money and traveling. I just can’t wait for the days I’m in the grass sitting with my chickens and ducks and enjoying life. The simple life.

It’s Rainey season and the garden is in full bloom and I’ve fallen sick from all my travels. I can’t wait to show you all the beauty the garden has this time of year.
