This two day adventure begins with a transfer from Manuel Antonio/Quepos or San José * to Perez Zeledon, the most important town on the southern Pan American Highway. Following a tropical Tico breakfast, we will drive east to “El Llano”, a small community in the middle of the mountains where our white water adventure will begin. Our professional staff will gear you up and brief you on safety procedures prior to rafting continuous class III and IV rapids on the Division River, the main tributary to the Savegre River. The trip will continue through one of the most remote canyon sections on this river, surrounded by impressive views of primary rain forest. After an 1 ½ hours of intense class IV rapids we will stop at Brujo Tent Camp for a typical “campesino lunch”. We will spend the night in platform tents with beds in them. Dinner and breakfast are provided by the family who run the camp site. On the second day we will maneuver rapids like “Come Gringos”, “Rio Blanco” and “Malibu”. Today we paddle about 12 miles of fabulous white water and incredible views. We will stop for snack on one of the river shores.
“La Boca del Diablo” rapid awaits to remind us that the day is not over yet. We will continue our descent down the Savegre River running class II and III rapids all the way down to the our take out. Our transport will be waiting and after a short drive you will be served a“casado”. The drive back to Manuel Antonio takes over 50 minutes..
