Sometimes, on a yacht with an existing history, certain parts of the interior can feel so far from the new owner’s style and sensibility that it seems as if the whole space would need to be changed.

But good redesign does not necessarily require a complete transformation. More often, it requires a precise understanding of what is holding the space back and what is still worth keeping. That was exactly the case here. Only carefully selected elements were changed, but the result is such that the new solution now feels as if it had always belonged to this cabin.

That is what we value in yacht interior renovation. When a new intervention does not feel like an addition, but fits so naturally that the space seems as if it was designed that way from the very beginning.
__________

In this phase, a refit rarely looks good on camera.

Protective covers and tools are still everywhere. People are coming in and out.

But beneath that controlled chaos, the interior is slowly taking its final shape.

The reupholstered elements are back on board, new materials are finding their place next to the existing veneer, and the design is slowly becoming real.

It is not finished yet. But you can already see the final interior taking shape.
____________

Ljudi ulaze i izlaze.

This house was developed by balancing two different approaches to space. The husband, originally from Serbia, was drawn to calm, open rooms, clear lines, and a more restrained architectural expression. The wife, from Brazil, felt strongly connected to the warmth, rhythm, and atmosphere of traditional Brazilian homes.

That combination was not a problem to solve, but the real starting point of the project.

The challenge was to design a house that could naturally bring both worlds together. We wanted to create a home that would feel open and clearly organized, but also warm enough, protected from outside views, and strongly connected to life outdoors. That is why the house layout, roof forms, terraces, and inner courtyard work together not only as architectural elements, but also as a balance between two ways of living.

These are always the most interesting projects for us. Not when a house follows one style perfectly, but when it responds precisely to the wishes of the people who will truly live in it.
____________

The upper salon of this 45-meter motor yacht was one of the spaces that best showed how a yacht interior renovation does not have to mean erasing the existing identity, but carefully translating it into a more contemporary expression.

The existing salon had a clear character, high-quality wood paneling, and a good layout foundation, but the overall impression felt heavier, darker, and visually more loaded than the new owner wanted. That is why our goal was not to change everything, but to keep what still gave value to the space and redesign the elements that made it feel outdated.

The new proposal keeps the warmth of the wood and the classic sense of elegance, but introduces more lightness through brighter textiles, cleaner furniture, simpler coffee table forms, and a clearer spatial composition. The top view especially shows that the layout was not changed without reason, but carefully adjusted so the salon remains functional, comfortable to stay in, and visually calmer.

For us, that is the essence of a good yacht interior renovation approach: not changing everything just because you can, but understanding what already gives quality to the space and how to build on it so it looks better, works better, and lasts longer.
__________

Novo rešenje zadržava toplinu drveta i klasični stil salona, ali ga čini otvorenijim kroz svetlije tekstile, pročišćeniji nameštaj, jednostavnije forme klub stolova i jasniju organizaciju prostora.

A yacht interior refit does not end when the drawings are done.

The final phase happens on board; where every material, table, curtain, carpet, and even the smallest detail has to work in the real space.

This is a glimpse from the first installation day on a yacht on the Adriatic. Protected surfaces, a temporary office, final checks, and the beginning of installation.

Nothing glamorous. But exactly the place where design turns into reality.
____________

Zaštićene površine, privremena kancelarija, završne provere i početak montaže.

In this project, the neutral palette was not chosen to make the space feel safe or predictable, but to allow the quality of materials, light, and proportions to fully stand out.

Warm light tones, natural wood texture, stone with expressive veining, and the glass pendants above the island together create an interior that feels calm, but never empty. On the contrary, spaces like this demand precision, because when there are no strong colors or dramatic effects, every decision becomes visible.

The living area, kitchen island, and fireplace are connected into one balanced whole, without excess elements and without visual noise. The space does not try to impress through complexity, but through clarity, balance, and a sense of ease.

That is what matters to us in interiors like this - that they feel simple, while in reality, they are carefully designed down to the last detail.
__________

On this 45-meter motor yacht, the redesign of the guest cabins had a clear goal: to keep the warmth of the wood, while making the spaces feel calmer, cleaner, and closer to the sensibility of the new owner.

The existing base of the cabin was good, but some details made the space feel heavier and more outdated. That is why the new solution focused on precise changes: a more reduced wall treatment, neutral colours, contemporary designer lighting, and textiles that bring lightness to the space without taking away its character.

In guest cabins, it is especially important that the space feels pleasant immediately, but also neutral enough for different guests to feel comfortable in it. That is exactly why spaces like this require carefully measured decisions, not necessarily major interventions.

Very often, the biggest change in an interior is not seen in how much is new, but in what was carefully chosen to be changed.
__________

When we design a yacht interior, we are not designing only a space. We are also designing the feeling of calm, freedom, and ease that makes people choose to spend time on the water.

That is why the interior should never compete with the view or the sea around it. It should frame them.

It should support small routines on board.
Offer comfort in a space that is always in motion.
And create a balance between privacy, function, and atmosphere.

For me, yacht interior design always begins with understanding life on the water.

Not only how the space should look, but how it should feel when people truly spend time in it.
__________

On treba da ih uokviri.

An open-plan layout can easily feel cold if it is not carefully defined.

In this apartment, the dining area gains its own zone through proportion and lighting, without adding physical partitions. Three pendants follow the length of the table and visually frame it, creating a sense of enclosure within a larger space.

In this way, the openness is preserved, while the atmosphere becomes more intimate for gathering.
_________

U ovom stanu trpezarija dobija svoju zonu kroz proporciju i svetlo, bez dodatnih pregrada. Tri lustera prate dimenziju stola i vizuelno ga uokviruju, stvarajući osećaj zaokruženosti unutar većeg prostora.

At first glance, the table feels monumental. The central piece of the space.

But in reality, it was one of the biggest challenges.

Below it, technical systems require weekly inspection.
The crew needed fast and simple access, without dismantling and without disrupting the interior.

The table dimensions were further limited by the hull slopes. Every centimeter was precisely defined.

At the aft side, the wall cladding has additional thickness.
Not for decoration, but to integrate an ultra-modern presentation screen.

On projects like this, design is not just form. It is the coordination of systems, structure, and aesthetics in one move.

When everything works, and nothing reveals the complexity behind it we know the project is successful.
___________
Na prvi pogled, sto deluje monumentalno. Centralni komad prostora.
