MORGEN CONTEMPORARY wurde im Mai 2008 von Angelika Watzl kulturell pulsierenden Bezirks Berlin-Mitte gegründet. Das Programm von MORGEN CONTEMPORARY zeigt sowohl aufstrebende Talente als auch bereits international etablierte Künstler. Der Name der Galerie bezieht sich auf die zukunftsweisende Ausrichtung des Programms, welches zeitgenössische internationale Malerei, Zeichnung, Fotografie, Video, Skulptur und Installation umfasst. Der thematische Fokus des Galerieprogramms liegt dabei auf künstlerischen Ansätzen, welche sich mit der Frage nach der menschlichen Existenz und der Position des Menschen in der heutigen Welt beschäftigen. Bei der Auswahl der Künstler ist die Individualität und Authentizität der künstlerischen Ausdruckskraft ausschlaggebend. Zugleich wird die immense Vielfalt in der internationalen zeitgenössischen Kunst hervorgehoben. Das langfristige Ziel von MORGEN CONTEMPORARY ist die weitere Internationalisierung der Aktivitäten durch bereits bestehende sowie neue Kollaborationen mit Galerien und Institutionen weltweit. The programme of MORGEN CONTEMPORARY features both emerging talents and internationally established contemporary artists; exhibitions at the gallery focus largely upon painting, drawing, photography, video, sculpture and installations. As the name of the gallery suggests, we offer a forward-looking programme of artistic approaches that often explore questions relevant to the meaning of human existence and man’s position in the world today. The gallery attaches particular importance to the individuality of artistic expression, thus highlighting the immense diversity of international contemporary art. MORGEN CONTEMPORARY is dedicated to the continuing internationalisation of its activities through already existing as well as new and novel collaborations with galleries and institutions worldwide.
