SOLD • In 18k gold, set with rubies and diamonds, the Augis charms are highly collectible and the ultimate love token, based on a 19th century love poem: I love you more, more than yesterday and less than tomorrow (plus qu’hier, moins que demain). The phrase is a reference to a 19th century love poem that French poet and playwright Rosemonde Gérard wrote to her husband, Edmond Rostand (author of Cyrano de Bergerac). In 1907, Alphonse Augis, a jeweler in Lyons, was inspired to take this line of the poem and create his signature Médaille d’Amour. Such a beautiful story for a special piece of jewelry

Vintage Pierre Cardin textured 18k gold plated necklace. A beautiful, architectural design, this signed pieces from late 1970s/early 1980s shows off his craftsmanship. Cardin studied architecture in his youth and famously said: “If my dresses were made of bronze, I would be called a sculptor.” This is also true in respect of his jewelry. Coming this Friday 02.12.22 20:00
