"MOST OF THE PEOPLE NEED TO STAY CONNECTED WITH NATURE, FEEL THE NATURE IN THEIR LIFE EVEN IF ITS ONLY IN A LITTLE SPACE OF THEIR HOME."

GARDEN SQUARES IS A PROPOSAL MADE BY THE ARCHITECT ALEJANDRA ORDEHI FROM THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC AND THE ARCHITECT CARLOS ARROYO FROM SPAIN WITH THE IDEA OF PROVIDING OPEN SPACES, GARDENS AND PLAYGROUNDS TO A BUILDING COMMUNITY AS A THICK FACADE THAT HAS MULTIPLE AND MIXED USES AND WHERE THE NEIGHBORS CAN INTERACT AND HAVE NEW EXPERIENCES BY JUST STEPPING OUT OF THEIR APARTMENT DOOR.

CHAMPAGNE CURTAIN FOR PARIS RIVER CHAMPAGNE BAR COMPETITION

Champagne Curtain bets on sustainability trying to disappear architecture; melting the project within the territory, blurring the lines between architecture and landscape, between physicality and immateriality, between presence and absence.
The curtain of water hides the place inside paris; creating a flexible space that could be visible or hidden. That changes in time and in space, that transform itself depending on the use. By creating a transparent limit, that can easily disappear, we can have different use and users. Public space in the morning. Private space at night.
At night it rains champagne!!

TRAVELING PAVILION FOR NOA COMPETITION

The idea is simple. While creating a permanent observatory in the Amazonia would increase tourism and so damage the Amazonia, our idea is to establish a permanent school within the Amazonia for locals and experts from where the analysis and control of the biosphere would be accurate and precise.
At the same time there will be a "Traveling Pavilion" that could easily be dissembled and placed on a different city every few weeks bringing the Amazonia closer to everyone, accesible, reachable and with accurate information that will allow to understand how important it is to preserve it.

SOCIAL SPONGE FOR MESH COMPETITION

The main idea which articulates the project is to create a kind or public skeleton which communicates the whole private spaces by a series of linked spaces all through the building.
These public skeletons for the building will host different shared uses as laundry spaces, gardens or playground areas.
Both spaces, the public and the private one, are disposed according to the Menger sponge´s geometry. As a result of that, the public space springs up as the negative image of the private one. The building itself is the result of the overlapping of both kinds of spaces in the three dimensions.
So, the housing unit is made by the addition of a certain number of basic modules each containing a basic room unit. Every housing unit is also, in a certain way, compose by some public units, which link the living area with the public spaces.
