Casa Moratalla

“La Casa Moratalla” is situated in the heart of the historic quarter below the church and the castle. The old town is full of narrow, winding streets with tall houses and balconies full of flowers. Much of the town is pedestrian only and consequently is perfect for exploring the tranquil, pretty streets. The walk up to the castle or church is invigorating and worth the splendid views all around Moratalla. The holiday home, which is over 150 years old, has been tastefully restored in the traditional way, retaining many of the original features. We have endeavoured to make it as comfortable as possible and provide everything necessary for a relaxing holiday. All bed linen, towels, tea towels are included in this holiday home. Sleeping 6 people, there are 3 bedrooms: 2 double, 1 twin and 2 bathrooms: one with power shower the other with full-size bath; a fully equipped kitchen; hall and lounge both with wood stoves. The holiday home surrounds a secluded courtyard with fig trees, flowers and a barbecue area with facilities for dining ‘al fresco’. We are lucky that it is a very quiet street regarding traffic and parking is only 2 minutes away. It is possible to drive to the house for unloading shopping etc. The local bakers make bread deliveries to the next street to ours, three times during the morning. You are very welcome to bring your pets is this holiday home. La Casa Moratalla is situated approximately one and a half hours drive from Alicante airport or Murcia (San Javier) airport. There are bus links from both airports to Moratalla, and also a train link from Alicante to Murcia city. Cars can be easily hired from Alicante airport.
