A Hole in One! ⛳💦

An interesting job this week — a pool was losing water and the bottom drain wasn’t working properly.

After pressure testing the entire system, we found the skimmer was cracked due to poor installation — the pipework had been vibrating from lack of support. Not a cheap repair!

Next, we inspected the bottom drain using our camera system. About 10 meters from the inlet, we discovered the real culprit: a golf ball lodged inside the pipe!

Using our locator system, we marked the exact spot on the lawn, dug down, and cut the pipe — and there it was! The reason water wasn’t reaching the pump filter basket was due to bad pipe installation. Instead of using proper bends to change direction, the installers had heated and bent the pipe, causing it to kink.

¡Un hoyo en uno! ⛳💦

Un trabajo interesante esta semana: una piscina estaba perdiendo agua y el desagüe inferior no funcionaba correctamente.

Después de realizar una prueba de presión en todo el sistema, descubrimos que el skimmer estaba agrietado debido a una mala instalación — las tuberías vibraban por falta de soporte. ¡No será una reparación barata!

Luego, inspeccionamos el desagüe inferior con nuestra cámara. A unos 10 metros de la entrada, encontramos al verdadero culpable: ¡una pelota de golf atascada en la tubería!

Usando nuestro sistema de localización, marcamos el punto exacto en el césped, excavamos y cortamos la tubería — ¡y ahí estaba! El motivo por el cual el agua no llegaba al filtro de la bomba era una mala instalación de tuberías. En lugar de usar codos para cambiar la dirección, habían calentado y doblado la tubería, causando un pliegue.
