Orientation is not aesthetic—it’s environmental. Openings face northeast for sea views and natural light, while the southern exposure ensures warmth in winter. Cross ventilation is achieved through opposing voids and the absence of partitions.

The volumes are fragmented and slightly offset to adapt to the topography and reduce the perceived scale. This articulation generates intermediate outdoor spaces— terraces and porches—that act as climate buffers and extend the domestic life toward the landscape.

The house is resolved through two complementary structural systems: a grounded, solid base that anchors the project to the terrain, and a lighter upper volume that hovers above it. This deliberate tectonic contrast allows the lower part to absorb structural loads and provide thermal inertia, while the upper opens to light, views, and natural cross ventilation.

The mountain was not an obstacle but the starting point. Instead of altering the land, we worked with its natural geometry, allowing the architecture to adapt to and take root in the landscape. It integrates, engages in dialogue, belongs. In this way, the intervention becomes an organic extension of its mediterranean surroundings.
