JUNE 7, 2026 β CORPUS CHRISTI SUNDAY
Today, the Church celebrates Corpus Christi, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. It is a day when Catholics proclaim with joy and faith that Jesus Christ is truly present in the Holy Eucharist β not merely as a symbol, but as His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.
The Eucharist is the greatest gift of Christ to His Church. At every Holy Mass, the same Jesus who was born in Bethlehem, preached in Galilee, died on Calvary, and rose from the dead comes to us under the humble appearances of bread and wine. He remains with His people, nourishing souls, strengthening the weak, forgiving sinners, and drawing hearts closer to Him.
Corpus Christi reminds us that God is not distant. He is Emmanuel β "God with us." He waits for us in every tabernacle, accompanies us in every Mass, and walks with us in every Eucharistic procession. As the Blessed Sacrament is carried through the streets today, it is a powerful witness that Christ desires to bless our homes, our communities, and our lives.
May this feast deepen our love for the Holy Eucharist. May we approach the altar with reverence, receive Holy Communion with faith, and spend time in adoration before our Eucharistic Lord.
Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, increase our faith, strengthen our hope, and inflame our hearts with love for You.
Happy and Blessed Corpus Christi Sunday!
"I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever." β John 6:51.
