What I like about this work is that even if I was the one that created it as time passed it just kept talking to me and revealing itself to me, the more I looked at it the more it meant to me and the more I understood it, it was as if it had a life or a power of it's own, and so much to say hidden within those layers.

It reminded me why I love painting so much as these works are not just paintings to be admired, they have a life and force of their own, they are window into the subconscious and capture a part of the soul you might not be fully able to express on your own.

Funny enough, the more I paint the more deeply I understand myself, life and the things that really matter and the more my purpose is concentrated and focused. I feel humbled to have the privilege to do what I do and hope others find a portion of what I found in the works, and that somehow it can have a similar effect on their lives.

Turbulent Passions is a painting I carried inside of me for years, until it reached the point where it had to be painted. It represents how I lived my life and the mark those passionate moments left on me.

As a result, the canvas becomes a register of that life of passion, expressed through nothing but pure energy and color.

It opens a window into a world that mere words cannot fully capture, where different passions appear at different stages of life, colliding, merging, then breaking apart. At times loving, at times painful, at times exciting and invigorating, at times calm, yet never dull.

It lingers, it leaves a mark for those who carry a fire in their heart, and acts as a reminder that a life of passion is difficult and painful, but can be equally, if not more rewarding and blissful if mastered and lived well.

This painting was created from a painting I destroyed.

A painting I was working on was not working, no matter how much time, effort, and paint I put into it. It was late, and I wasn’t getting anywhere. Frustrated and angry, I decided to destroy it.

While destroying it, I started noticing these strangely wonderful nuggets and gems arising, and the strokes themselves suddenly came together and felt natural, powerful, and raw. As such, I stopped at the exact instant before it collapsed, preserving the moment at the peak of its glory, saving the gems and preserving the raw, violent, defined strokes that formed.

The Destroyed Painting was born. This work is about the significance of destruction as a valuable part of creation, and the importance of knowing when to end something and how to end it, embracing rage to fuel us into creating something better and moving forward in the right direction.

A Full Life by Wadih Bejjani — $6,200

With this painting, I wanted to capture the life I have lived so far, with all its extremes, its calm moments, and everything in between.

All the colors on the palette are present, each doing its part, without turning into mud or becoming too bright or naive. Different phases of life merge, interlock, and break apart, forming what feels like the fabric of life.

A reflection on living life to the fullest, while arranging every aspect so it does not all turn into a brown mess or a meaningless rainbow of colors, but into something well lived, mature, controlled, and purposeful.
