Great to be starting on site in Burghead, on another retrofit and internal alterations project.

Like many of our clients they were suffering from cold rooms and draughts. Our air-leakage testing service identified a range of improvement measures and we've designed their internal layout changes.

Great to be working with Asset Integrity Scotland again as well as other local contractors on this one.

The bad weather we've had in Aberdeenshire has stifled progress on-site somewhat and our airtightness testers, Neil and Elias, are chomping at the bit to get out testing again soon!

We tested more buildings in 2025 than ever before, with some great results, finding leaks and improving comfort and energy efficiency at every step.

We're delighted to be helping another client future proof this beautiful listed building in Perthshire.

This converted mill underwent a conversion several years ago, but doesn't have the comfort levels the client needs.

We are helping them realise better comfort, while respecting the character of the building, transitioning the home to a heat pump and improving the indoor air quality dramaticallly.

Stay tuned for updates!

Today we are highlighting one of our natural material suppliers, Sisalwool

We love using natural materials, not just because they are better for the environment, storing sequestered emissions for decades, but also because they are:
✅ more enjoyable to work with that plastic insulation products, with less mess and waste
✅ they handle moisture very well making they very suitable for traditional buildings
✅ easier to install - meaning that they are normally installed better than rigid plast products and hence the perceived lower performance is counterbalanced by more consistent installation.
✅ they form an important part of the circular economy, with several options being produced in Scotland or the UK
✅ they don't off-gas harmful gasses into your home

The team at Sisalwool are really passionate about what they do, so get yourself and sample and let us help you specify some today!

Place-based Retrofit - We're currently conducting surveys in Kemnay, thanks to funding from Aberdeenshire Council's Rural Communities Challenge Fund and the Greener Kemnay action group.

We're delivering and handful of Retrofit Assessments and airtightness tests to help the community understand how we can future proof housing in Kemnay and transition to clean heating systems.

Could a mini-heat network be a possibility?

As we approach completion on this deep retrofit project in Yeovil we can already see the benefits of a well combined package of measures.

Great to be working with British Gas - Energy for Tomorrow Fund, Proctor Watts Cole Rutter and Bamfords Yeovil on this project.

The building now performs better than a new build facility, with greatly increased levels of comfort and air quality, future proofed for the future and fit for generating more revenue for the club
