Part 147 of trying to renovate my garden using a ChatGPT design 🤖 |

Well… the Scottish summer lasted about 17 minutes 🌧️

We were hoping to get all the stones glued down this week and get both deckings sanded and oiled, but the weather forecast has other ideas. Looks like we’re in for 7-10 days of rain, so that’s that plan fu**ed 😅

Rather than sit about waiting for the weather to sort itself out, we cracked on and got the posts for the hot tub shed fixed down 💪

We also had a massive clean-up operation around the garden 🧹 because the next big job is laying the main decking area.

Not the most exciting week of progress, but progress is progress. Hopefully the weather starts behaving itself soon so we can get back on with it 🤞

This week we finally got the hot tub shed coated in clear wood preserver 🪵🍺

We also started gluing down all the white stones to stop Clive kicking them about everywhere 😅

The plan was to finish off the outdoor cinema setup… but it turns out projectors are about as useful as a chocolate teapot in broad daylight 📽️☀️

You can’t see a fu***ng thing 😂

Looks like we might be swapping it out for a TV instead 📺

Turns out half of the comments were right… we’d put the felt roof on the wrong fu***ng way round 💀

So this episode was basically damage control in a heatwave 🥵

We finally got the last of the white stones and slabs finished 😮‍💨

The hot tub area is finally starting to come together 🍻
Garden trestles fitted, hot tub up and running, and the whole area is actually usable now 😂

Still got the projector and screen to fit, but we’re one step closer to sitting in a hot tub with a beer watching Scotland win the World Cup 🍺🏆

We carried on with the hot tub shed and somehow managed to get the full thing built 🪵💪

Roofing’s finally on and we’re one step closer to sitting in a hot tub with a beer 🍺😂

Only thing left now is coating it all in wood preserver… but the weather forecast looks absolutely horrific for the next 3 days 🌧️

So instead of standing in the rain like a pair of idiots, we’re gonna leave it for now and crack on with another section of the garden 👀

In this episode we started building the hot tub shed with the help of my partner… aka the site manager 👷‍♀️😂

We somehow managed to get the whole thing nearly built in one day, but of course nothing can ever just go smoothly and we’ve already ran into an issue with the roof 🌧️🔨

Still got absolutely no clue what we’re actually turning the inside into yet either… so give us your ideas 👀

In this episode we finally got the white stones laid around the stepping stone path 😮‍💨

We also made an absolute c**t of trying to build a new drain and had to fix one of the slabs I fu**ed up earlier on 🫠

On the bright side… we took delivery of a pretty cool custom granite stone from CMDstone 👀

Next up… it’s finally time to start building the hot tub shed 🔨

Exactly 1 year ago today we posted the first ever video of this project 😂

Now we’re somehow closing in on 1 million followers across all platforms 🤯

Today we fixed the bark area, relaid slabs and started laying the white stone path up to Frank’s gate ⚒️
