**Front Room Revamp**

I recently completed a renovation of a customer's front living room. Here are some photos showing the process from start to finish over four days of hard work. Preping a old wallpaper wall took a considerable amount of time, and the hole room required extensive sanding and preparation, including filling and leveling. The ceiling alone received five coats of paint, but I persevered and achieved a great result in the end. The customer is very happy to have their room back, and now it’s on to the rest of the house!

**Raised Bike Shed Base **

This bike shed base was constructed using recycled concrete path pavers, some stones, and bits of cedar paneling and stakes. Due to the varying ground levels, it needed to be raised off the floor, similar to the one next to it. I really enjoyed this dry laying approach! Although it may not be built exactly as intended, the customer wanted to use materials they had available at home, so this shed was created from those items.

It’s been quite windy lately, and a customer reached out to me asking for an urgent repair on her gate after hours. I quickly headed over and installed new fixings, spacing them six inches apart on the post. I filled all the old holes in the mortar, put on some new locks, and replaced all the fixings to ensure everything matched. It was a busy day spent cutting back the overgrowth in the back garden and front yard. I removed the honeysuckle, as it was growing into the brickwork and causing issues with the drains. I also cut back the brambles over the shed roof, cleared the driveway of weeds and debris, and finally mowed the grass in the front yard. I finished by tidying up around the sides of the property.

** Masonary Work & Tile Repairs **

Masonry front porch repairs involve the resolution of several issues, including loose quarry tiles and cracked tiles. Loose tiles are addressed using resin epoxy, while hollow tiles are removed and re-bedded as necessary. The existing grout is thoroughly extracted in preparation for the application of a pointing compound. Furthermore, a suitable mixture is prepared for the reattachment of any loose edging bricks on the porch.

** Mixed Work Day **

The arch was installed by the customer, but they were not happy with how it was done, and it was also the wrong length for the area they wanted. To fix this, I extended it using some treated timber, cutting them to the required length.

I mounted a hardtop gazebo to the wall for stability during bad weather, using some leftover timber cutoffs.

Additionally, I installed a fold-away washing line mounted to the wall.

For the patio edging, I filled it with a section of steel rod and then added traditional sharp sand and cement and smoothed it to level.

And a lovely tea with pan de chocolate. 😊👌
