Additionally, the brand of lock fitted comes with 5 keys yet the customer was only given 3... what is the 'locksmith, planning on doing with the other 2?

It's that time of year again where I bleat on about the big firms you'll find listed in the phone directories. 90% of the time these are national firms charging three times the going rate and in some cases complete scammers looking to prey on the elderly that use these phone books.
I'd strongly recommend you avoid using a locksmith from these directories, particularly the ones that place huge multiple ads disguised as different companies. (Note all four ads pictured are in fact the same national firm)
