Great to see the Christmas tree that we donated to Bradpole Pre-school fully decorated, the children created some amazing decorations for it.

Thanks to Groves Nurseries for enabling this with their annual scheme.

Brilliant to be involved in this wonderful initiative again this year, hopefully the tree going to Bradpole Pre-school will brighten up their room and put a lot of smiles on some children’s faces πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„

A recent extension we completed in West Bay for a lovely couple, we turned what was a small kitchen/diner in to one with plenty of room, this including alterations to the plumbing and electrics as well as using one of our highly skilled subcontractors to fit a new kitchen. Thank you to the customer for the endless supply of drinks and snacks and for the 5⭐️ review.

Great to be a part of this for a second year running πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„

Another garden building recently completed in Burton Bradstock, finished in half lap Douglas Fir cladding that was sourced from the New Forest and with stunning anthracite aluminium double glazing it is a major improvement on the concrete sectional garage that was there originally.

The building consists of a workshop at one end with a home office looking out over the garden. One of the main factors for the client was ensuring that the building had a low environmental impact, we achieved this through making sure the building was well insulated throughout and the use of sustainable materials where possible.

Get in touch with us if you are in need of extra room for working from home.

A beautiful Fossil Buff Indian Sandstone path with edging setts in West Bay that I completed today, the client had got in touch with me due to the previous work I had done for them, after they were let down by another tradesman.

The job involved ripping out the previous work and creating a curved path linking the existing patio with the path around the studio and then on to the patio at the bottom of the garden. The curves help lead your eye around the garden rather than straight down the middle as is often the way.

It was a pleasure to work for the client again and I am sure it will spur them on to develop the rest of the garden to its potential.

Thank you to JC Phillips for providing the materials.

Get in touch today if you would like something like this doing, I am currently taking bookings for autumn 2022.

Are you in need of more space? Whether thats a garden office or an annex to enable you to live in a multi-generational household then we can help you.

Here is the end result for a client in Dorchester. Mrs B. had decided that her house was too big for her, and decided that moving aome of her family in was the perfect solution, so that she maintained her independence we built this beautiful cedar clad, timber framed annex, complete with kitchenette and ensuite shower room.

It involved demolishing an existing garage and digging new foundations, then we had to install new services as the existing ones were inadequate for the needs of two properties. A timber frame was then constructed on site that is both strong and well insulated before it was finished off with plastered walls internally and the lovely Western Red Cedar you can see in the photos. It meets all building control requirements and has even been coated in an intumescent varnish to ensure maximum fire safety

Really pleased to be able to sponsor a Christmas tree for Bradpole Pre-school, the pre-school do amazing work with the young children preparing them for school.
It was great to see their faces light up when I brought the tree in and I hope they had lots of fun decorating it.

A big thanks to Groves Nurseries for coming up with the idea and also for supplying such a good tree.

My biggest job to date, a beautiful cedar clad timber framed annex in Dorchester, creating a purpose built space to allow for multi-generational living, there were a few issues to overcome including plans that had not passed building control contrary to what we had been told. It also included a new water connection and a new electric connection. The property has an ensuite and the heating system is hidden from sight in a plant room behind the built in wardrobe.

A big thank you to Dom at DT electrical, Chris at CAS plumbing and heating and as always Steve Battrick for a cracking job on the plastering. A few finishing touches still to go on this, however I also had to renovate the existing property within a deadline to facilitate the two households both living on the same site.
