Winter Property Checks – Visual Checks for Peace of Mind
Winter is when small, easily missed issues can turn into costly problems. Blocked gutters, frozen pipes, leaks and storm damage are common risks, especially in empty or rarely occupied homes.
I offer a Winter Property Check, which is a non-invasive visual check of key areas to help highlight potential winter-related issues early. This is not a survey, inspection or certification.
To suit different needs and comfort levels, checks can be booked as:
External Check Only – £69
No entry to the property required
Visual check of:
• Gutters and downpipes
• External pipework and tap freeze risk
• Obvious roof issues (from ground level only)
• Air bricks and ventilation
• External drainage and gullies
• Paths, steps, gates and fencing after bad weather
Internal Check Only – £69
Limited to areas you are happy for me to access
Visual check of:
• Heating, running and basic winter settings
• Boiler pressure (visual check only)
• Visible signs of leaks or damp
• Stopcock location and operation
• Windows and doors sealing
• Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms (presence check)
Full Winter Property Check – £119
External and internal visual checks combined, with a clear written checklist report provided after the visit, including images to support findings.
This service is ideal for homeowners, landlords, holiday lets, second homes or anyone heading away over winter.
